Te Water
The pavilion is located on the Engelermeer lakeside in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, and is both a water-sports clubhouse and a viewing platform. To take full advantage of the natural qualities of the site and to maximise the relation between land and water the building stretches out onto the lake as far as possible.
The pavilion seeks to make the lake both visually and a physically accessible. Hovering above the water, the pavilion is a light, economical and transparent enclosure. As one moves further into the pavilion the walls gradually dissolve, ending in a open terrace surrounded by water.
