Under the radar

Situated on an open patch of forest on the edge of the Veluwe, this three storey forest cabin casually refers to the military past of the Buitenplaats Koningsweg.

The cabin is conceived as a hide-out. With its multi-faceted shape and matt black appearance, the design takes cues from the stealth technology used to hide object from radar detection. When not in use, the grated terraces fold up, giving the cabin a surprisingly abstract presence in the woods.
